In a speech delivered Tuesday, August 31, the American president spoke of the “extraordinary success” of the Americans in Afghanistan.

For Joe Biden, the best defense is offense. After the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, the President of the United States spoke on the evening of Tuesday, August 31 and appeared very offensive.

” It was the departure or the escalation ” of the military, explained Joe Biden during a solemn speech delivered from the White House. Despite  the attack that brought mourning to the evacuation operations  on August 26 at Kabul airport, the American president did not hesitate to speak of a great success.

“My dear compatriots, the war in  Afghanistan  is now over”, began Joe Biden. According to him, “the extraordinary success of this mission is due to the incredible skill, the bravery and the courage of the American soldiers, of our diplomats and of the professionals of the intelligence”.

After the US troops left Afghanistan, US President Joe Biden on Tuesday (local time) said that the real decision was between leaving and escalating and he was not going to extend a “forever war or extend a forever exit.”

Speaking one day after the last United States troops left Afghanistan, ending America’s longest war, President Biden defended his decision to end the U.S. military involvement in Afghanistan, calling it “the right decision, the wise decision, the best decision for America.”
