Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, Passed away at the age of 54.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of the late Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, passed away on Thursday, her mother revealed, just hours after being taken to the hospital following what appeared to be a heart arrest. Lisa Marie Presley was a singer.

Her age was 54.

Priscilla Presley is quoted as saying in a statement that was sent to CNN by a representative that the Presley family is “shocked and grieved” by the untimely passing of their beloved Lisa Marie. Priscilla Presley’s words were included in the statement. “They wish to express their deepest gratitude to everyone for their love, support, and prayers and ask that they be given solitude during this extremely trying time.”

According to what Lisa Marie Presley’s mother said on Instagram, the young singer had to be brought to the hospital earlier in the day.

“We ask that you continue to pray for her and for all of us in our family. “We are aware of the prayers being sent from all over the world, and we ask that you respect our need for privacy during this difficult time,” her statement added at the time.

On Thursday, TMZ was the first news outlet to break the story that Lisa Marie Presley had been admitted to the hospital.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department named Kaitlyn Aldana told CNN that emergency personnel were sent to the 5000 block of Normandy Drive in Agoura Hills, California, at 10:37 a.m. local time in response to a call reporting a cardiac arrest at that time. Although Aldana would not confirm the name of the patient, who could not be recognized owing to privacy rules, she did say that the patient was transferred to a nearby hospital at 11:17 in the morning.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told CNN that they assisted fire officials on a medical call this morning. However, the spokesperson would not confirm the identity of the patient.
