Sexual sect case: Allison Mack (“Smallville”) sentenced to 3 years in prison

The actress who pleaded guilty was accused of recruiting young women who became the sex slaves of guru Keith Raniere.

Allison Mack was sentenced to three years in prison on June 30, as reported by the American media The Guardian. The Smallville actress pleaded guilty in 2019 to sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy.

Allison Mack  was accused of having played an active role in recruiting members of the NXIVM sect, as well as in keeping them under the influence, recalls  The Guardian . Before her trial, she sent  a letter to the victims . “It is of the utmost importance for me to say from the bottom of my heart that I am sorry.  I threw myself headlong into the teaching of  Keith Raniere  (the guru of the NXIVM sect, editor’s note) (.. .).  This is the biggest mistake and the biggest regret of my life, ” she explained.

As for  Keith Raniere , his sentence fell on  October 27, 2020,  after five hours of hearing. He was sentenced to 120 years in prison, or life imprisonment.
