Cuba announced on Monday June 21 that its three-dose Abdala vaccine is more than 92% effective against Covid-19. In the final phase of clinical trials, it must now receive official marketing authorization from the Cuban authorities in late June or early July. Cuba, which has decided not to import foreign vaccines, is developing a total of five candidate vaccines against Covid-19.
