“My name is Sylvain Griot, I am 37 years old and I am the French translator of the book Courir pieds nus , by the American Ken Bob Saxton. I am from Cergy-Pontoise and since December 2019 I have lived in Champagne, near Reims, after having lived for ten years in Portugal, where I worked as a production manager in agricultural engineering.

I have been a running enthusiast since 2009. I was 25 years old and I lived in a small Portuguese town 200 km south of Lisbon. I spent three years doing half marathons with sneakers… and hurting my joints, knees and ankles. Windshield wiper syndrome. It was a difficult period, frustrating because I discovered a sport that fascinated me, without being able to develop myself. Instead of making myself happy, I suffered.
