Michael Brunelli and Martha Kalifatidis are expecting their first child.

The first pregnancy of Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli, who appeared on the Australian version of “Married at First Sight,” has been confirmed.

The couple, who met on the programme in 2019, became engaged in December of the same year, and announced their engagement in an Instagram video on Monday (5 September).

According to what Brunelli told the audience, “we wanted to clarify our situation and make a bit of an announcement, and that is that Martha is pregnant.”

Kalifatidis took to social media to explain her recent silence, saying she had been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum at the five-week mark of her pregnancy.

This is a medical illness characterised by extreme feelings of nausea and vomiting, and it frequently necessitates hospitalisation.

The National Health Service (NHS) estimates that 1-3 out of every 100 expecting mothers will experience this.

The current period is “the most exciting and glorious time in our history,” as Kalifatidis put it. I don’t want to make it seem like I’m moaning; we’re genuinely thrilled by this wonderful development.

The doctors said I had hyper [sic], which is really severe persistent nausea and vomiting with no respite, and I was told that I had it at week five. It’s 24/7.

I was so sick that I couldn’t keep anything down for two months, and I barely got out of bed at all. There were times when I didn’t even have the energy to get up and go to the bathroom,” she admitted.

She lost 10 kilogrammes and the couple was “in and out of the emergency hospital,” according to Kalifatidis.

But now I’m being treated by a fantastic physician. She gave me medication that has changed my life, and now I can feel like a human being again and get around,” Kalifatidis added.

It was too soon to share, Brunelli chimed in. There had no choice but to go offline and make some excuses.

Brunelli wrote in the comments that the parents-to-be are planning to keep the baby’s gender a secret.

We don’t know the gender, but just so you know. He answered, “We haven’t even opened the envelope yet.”
