Drew Barrymore hasn’t had a “intimate relationship” since 2016.

Since becoming a single mother six years ago following her divorce from Will Kopelman, Drew Barrymore has said she has not been in a “intimate relationship.”

The 47-year-old Music and Lyrics performer admitted that her views on sexuality and relationships had “changed a lot” since she was younger.

Having two children and then divorcing their father, Will Kopelman, “has made me cautious,” Barrymore wrote on her personal blog.

To herself and her girls, she wrote, “I have had the luxury of adjusting my perspective when it comes to love.” “I am aware that a man is not a part of that, and has not been for some time.”

When Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman separated after almost four years of marriage, they shared custody of their two daughters, Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8.

The actor and host of The Drew Barrymore Show went on, “Since entering life as a single mom, I have not been able to have an intimate relationship.

It’s just that right now I’m at a very different place in my life, and who knows, maybe I’ll start dating again soon.

Now you know that I’m not the type of person who feels the need to actively seek out sexual partners. As a mother and a woman, I have a strong sense of responsibility to model the ideal way for young women to interact with the world.

When asked to comment on their breakup, the pair stated in a joint statement, “Sadly our family is separating legally, yet we do not feel this takes away from us being a family.

Although it’s natural to feel like a failure after a divorce, most people learn to find grace in the fact that life continues on. Our kids are the centre of our world, and we plan to spend the rest of our life making them a top priority.

Barrymore said last year that she had sought professional help for her mental health after her “painful” divorce.

She told Machine Gun Kelly on her talk show, “I had these two kids I had to battle for and I needed support.” As a result, I made an effort to connect with new individuals, which led to significant personal growth and some radical life adjustments. A fresh direction opened up to me. Instead of getting back on track, I helped create an entirely new one.
